| The
Computer Society of India is targeted at the user community
at large. Hence the membership of the Society is open
to all professionals involved in the field of Information Technology.
| The
membership categories include individual and institutional.
In the individual member category there are five grades
namely Fellow, Senior, Member, Associate and Student,
whereas Institutional membership includes category,
differentiation is made between organizations and educational
institutions. A professional can apply for life membership
in the Society by paying a fixed amount towards life
subscription. |

Normally,
a Professional joins the Society as an Associates member and upgrades
himself to senior Member grade over a period of time.
The Fellowship is awarded to life member of society based on contribution
to the Society. The Honorary Fellowship is given to non member
in recognition of their contributions for the promotion of IT.
