To provide valuable insights into managing and implementing ERP projects from practitioners and experts and to use this knowledge in implementations / career planning / learning / adapting to change in a better manner

Contents of the Workshop
Enterprise Resource Planning or ERP as it is popularly known has found widespread application in the industry from traditional sectors like manufacturing and engineering to sunrise sectors like IT and Knowledge based sectors. Compares to other software projects, ERP implementations pose greater challenges for all stakeholders (client, implementer, 3rd party vendors). This is because, not only the technical complexity needs to be managed but also a host of issues on the functional side with change management aspects of re-engineering etc. Almost everybody in the organization has a role to play and these needs to be emphasized to make implementations successful.
Computer Society of India has always been a pioneer in making IT understandable and simple to all. Here the Kolkata Chapter has taken the initiative to bring in a host of experts and practitioners from the Industry to share their perspectives on how ERP implementations can be managed better.
